Implementation Plan Information - CalMTA
The California Market Transformation Administrator (CalMTA) develops and manages market transformation initiatives in the state to reduce energy use and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. CalMTA has submitted its second application to the CPUC, which seeks approval to deploy three key statewide market transformation initiatives (MTIs):
-
The Residential Heat Pump Water Heating MTI, focused on accelerating adoption of efficient HPWHs in California homes
-
The Commercial Replacement and Attachment Window Solutions MTI, focused on commercial retrofit window solutions that improve envelope performance
-
The Commercial Rooftop Units, focused on advancing higher-efficiency RTUs, controls, and installation practices in commercial buildings.
These proposed market transformation initiatives build on CalMTA’s initial portfolio and expand market transformation efforts into additional commercial market sectors and envelope measures. If approved, CalMTA would solicit a third-party implementer for each initiative
CalMTA’s second application (formally “Application of the California Market Transformation Administrator for Approval of the Second Tranche of Statewide Energy Efficiency Market Transformation Initiatives”) and its filed materials are posted on CalMTA’s website.
